The Master of Science in International Business at UPF-BSM: Ranked Best in Spain by the QS International Trade Rankings 2025

The Master of Science in International Business at UPF Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM) has been recognized as the best in Spain according to the QS International Trade Rankings 2025, a prestigious ranking that evaluates international business programs globally.

UPF-BSM's Master's program is ranked eighth in the world, securing a place among the top 10 globally. It joins other renowned international business programs at prestigious institutions. Leading the ranking is the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University, followed by Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, with IMD Business School in third place.

World Leaders in Innovative Teaching

The QS ranking, one of the most respected international assessments in academia, evaluated international business master's programs from 87 business schools worldwide. The ranking assessed six key dimensions: program content (30%), reputation among major stakeholders (20%), professional outcomes for students (15%), industry connections (15%), innovative teaching methodology (10%), and research (10%).

Notably, UPF-BSM's Master’s program earned the highest score in the innovative teaching category (100/100), positioning it as the best globally in this regard.

"This recognition of our program and teaching methodology is a testament to the success of our approach," says Mercè Roca, Academic Director of the Master of Science in International Business at UPF-BSM. "Our goal is to offer students a practice-oriented education, combining theoretical and technical foundations with active methodologies such as flipped learning, project work, company visits, expert interactions, and digital simulations. Our program provides a comprehensive and integrated view of international business, connecting academic rigor with a deep understanding of organizational practices."

"Throughout the course, students benefit from presentations by senior executives from international companies, as well as an international business trip. Each year, the program welcomes up to 30 students from diverse countries and cultural backgrounds, fostering a multicultural, global environment in the classroom," adds Manuel Cienfuegos, Academic Director of the Master's program.

The ranking also highlighted the professional outcomes of UPF-BSM’s students, awarding the program a score of 92.4/100 and placing it first in Spain and seventh globally in this category. According to the ranking, the employability rate of UPF-BSM graduates is 100%.

Regarding the program’s content, UPF-BSM earned a score of 98.2/100, ranking fourth worldwide. The university also ranked second in Spain for its industry connections, scoring 69.4/100. These results reflect the significant professional experience of the faculty.

In the research category, which evaluates the impact and quality of the scientific work produced by the school, UPF-BSM scored 76.8/100, securing the top position in Spain in this area.
